Armed masked men loot house

Kakching, April 20 2022:
Around six armed masked men looted a house belonging to one Ksh Nobo of Kakching Turel Wangma Club Pareng on Tuesday around 1.30 am.
The masked men robbed 4.5 'san' of gold and three mobile phones from the house.
However, two mobile phones were recovered as they left them on the road.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, a family member recounted that unknown persons knocked at the door around 1.30 am.
Upon opening, around six unidentified armed masked men barged into the room and tied him up and covered his face at gun point.
The other family members were also made to cover their faces using clothes and they (looters) began searching the house.
Later, they threatened him to bring out three bags that were brought by three women on Cheiraoba.
As the looters could not find what they were searching, they threatened to kill all the family members if the said bags that they claimed to contain money were not handed over within five days, he added.
Owner of the house Ksh Nobo said that he is an ex-serviceman and is presently working in a farm as daily wager.
Questioning why such nefarious act was done to his house, he appealed to those involved for clarifying his faults, if there is any, and informed that on the day of the incident also he was in the farm.
Clarifying that he is not related to PayGD in any manner, Nobo said that he gave shelter to his sister and nephew/niece as his brother in-law was hospitalised following the PayGD incident.
It was an act of humanity, he maintained.
Nobo further urged authorities concerned to prevent such incident from happening in the future.
