Allegation against ZEO Zone III baseless: AI

Thoubal, October 18 2021: Assistant Inspector (AI) of Schools of ZEO Zone-III Thoubal Kh Binodini (MES) has categorically refuted the allegation levelled by Khangabok Part III GP 15/3 ward member Thokchom Muhindro against the ZEO in connection with incomplete construction of Khangabok Part-Ill Leipaat Leikai Primary School, construction of which started in February 2014.Reacting to reports published in this regard in some print and electronic media on October 15 and 16, Kh Binodini told media persons on Monday that construction of the school began in 2014 and an FIR in this regard was filed against the then ZEO, DPM and AI and even the AI was suspended once.

As per the advice of Anti-Corruption Cell, the incumbent ZEO filed a regular FIR at Thoubal police station, she said, adding that there had been incident of police arresting some people in this regard including the complainant Kh Shyam Singh.

Upon finding no evidence during the course of further investigation by police, all the arrested people were discharged and relevant documents are still in the office record and all documents could be seen, if needed, she maintained.

Binodini also appealed to ward member, local residents and complainant Kh Shyam Singh who reported the matter to the media in good faith tq develop the school to extend help for early completion of the school.
