Kamjong leads daily TPR with 50 pc, Kpi 33.3 pc and IW 28.4 pc ; Manipur logs 90 new cases

Imphal, July 18 2022:
Kamjong with 50 percent test positivity rate, Kangpokpi with 33.3 percent and Imphal West with 28.4 percent topped the daily test positivity rate even as Manipur logged 90 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The overall test positivity rate is 11.5 percent as 90 out of 786 samples tested in the last 24 hours returned positive results.
The 11.5 percent daily test positivity rate is a slight dip from the 12 percent recorded on July 17 .
At Kamjong out of 2 persons tested, one returned positive result, at Kangpokpi 1 out of 3 samples tested positive and at Imphal West out of a total of 162 samples, 46 returned positive results.
No deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours and the death tally remain unchanged at 2121 .
The 90 new cases, all drawn from the general population, were detected while testing at RIMS (4), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (83) .
The persons who tested positive are from Imphal East (18), Imphal West (46), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (4), Kakching (4), Kangpokpi (1), Ukhrul (2), Churachand-pur (9) and Kamjong (1) .
With the addition of 90 more cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State now stands at 1,33,01 including 5016 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 537 including 2 Central security personnel.
On the other hand, 45 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours to take the total recovered cases to 1,35,375 inclusive of 5007 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.07 percent.
The 45 persons were discharged from home isolation (35), RIMS (5), JNIMS (1) and Shija (4) .
On July 17, a total of 505 Covid vaccines were administered to take the total number of vaccines administered to 30,11,491 including 12,72,563 second dose and 1,35,638 precautionary dose.
53.54 percent of the eligible population have taken their second dose and 62.06 the first dose.
A total of 98 D Type oxygen cylinders and 1 B Type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State on July 17 .
