AMMDO decries violation of poor people's rights

While alleging that welfare schemes of state and central governments meant for the poor people are denied by members of panchayat and urban body by joining hands with officials, All Manipur Muslim Development Organisation (AMMDO) called for the immediate halt to such practices before it exposes official misdeeds through print and electronic media.
In a release, AMMDO secretary general Kh Wahidur Rahman said that failure to find out the culprits involved in burning down the SDO office located at Lilong Han-gamthabi till now is a vivid example of official apathy.
Such incidents usually occur when the government processes for extending aid to victims of natural disasters.
It is known to all why members of local body did not support in finding the culprits, he claimed, while adding that AMMDO along with All Lilong Farmers Association, Pangal Youth front (PYF), All Manipur Pangal Farmers' Development Organisation (AMPDO), United Muslim Woman Organisation (UMWO) and Pangal Students' Organisation (PSO) will look into the matter and ensure that people get their rights.
Wahidur also informed that the organisation along with All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) extended edible items to Markaz Darul Yatama (orphan home) located at Lilong Atoukhong in connection with Eid-ul-Adha.
