PFI launches National Health campaign

As conducted every year, Popular Front of India (PFI), Manipur State launched a 15-day long health campaign under the theme 'Healthy People, Healthy Nation' on Tuesday.
The campaign was formally launched with PFI Manipur state president Abdullah Hussainy flagging off a marathon from Lilong Lamkhai Masjid Road which ended at Lilong public ground, where the main function was held.
Abdullah Hussainy, PFI Manipur general secretary Md Raft Shah, Thoubal Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Hasina Begum, All Manipur Muslim Doctors and Medical Students' Association general secretary Dr Mirja Abbas, Lilong PS OC Md Riyaz Khan, Lilong Sports Association secretary Md Ayub Ali and Lilong Municipal Council Ward No 6 ex-councillor Md Abdul Barik attended the function as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Abdullah Hussainy informed that the campaign is being organised with the idea of making the people to live healthily and urged the people to stay away from drugs and addictive substances for a progressive society.
Health awareness programme, yoga demonstration, martial arts demonstration and pandemic awareness programme were also conducted as a part of the campaign.
