Essential items distributed to scribes, needy people

All Manipur Indane Distributors' Association has provided essential items to All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and also to people living in periphery areas of the state even as many individuals and organisations continued to reach out to the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Convener of the association Gurumayum Robindro, who is also proprietor of RBD Indane, handed over the items to AMWJU president in-charge Soubam Bokuljaoba at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday.
Similar essential items will also be handed over to people living in outskirts, Robindro assured.
As part of Seva Hi Sangath- an, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba extended assistance to Community Home Isolation Centres (CHIC) and Covid Care Centres (CCC) in Kakching and Wabagai ACs on Wednesday in collaboration with Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Ramesh- war Singh.
The two legislators visited CHICs set up in ITI Kakching, SC/ST Girls Hostel Kakching, Kha Manipur College Kakching, Wabagai High School and Kakching Makha High School, Pallel High School, Kakching Higher Secondary School and distributed hand sanitisers, face masks, packaged drinking waters and others to the inmates.
Kakching deputy commissioner D Gangmei, SP Victoria Yengkhom, BJP Kakching district president Usham Ibomcha and others were also present on the occasion.
In his brief speech, Leishemba Sanajaoba said that the assistance was provided as per the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren to elected representatives to aid the people during the second wave of the pandemic.
Appreciating MLA Rameshwar for his efforts, the MP said that it would be in the best interest of the Covid patients if MLAs and ministers of other constituencies also work sincerely, thereby providing courage and motivation to the people during such difficult times.
The MP then appealed to the people to get tested immediately if suspicious of contracting the virus so to receive early treatment and also to get the vaccinated as soon as possible apart from adhering to Covid-19 COPs.
He also appealed to government bodies, private organisations and the general public to help defeat the pandemic.
MLA Rameshwar appreciated the CM and also MP Leishemba Sanajaoba for their help till date.
Aside from the visit to the CHICs, MP Sanajaoba also met with BJP Kakching Mandal president Shougaijam Shyamjai at the Mandal's office and held an interaction with the office bearers.
On the other hand, as a part of Seva Hi Sangathan phase-II, BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice president Th Jadumani distributed edible items to 200 households which have been declared as containment zones in Khangabok constituency while social worker Maibam Deepak alias Kondumba of Wabagai Kadajit arranged lunch for Covid positive patients staying in Community Home Isolation Centre at Wabagai High School.
Similarly, BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member Oinam Malesh organised meal for Covid positive patients of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa constituency who are staying in CHIC set up at Kamakhya Pemton College.
