Senapati, February 16 2025: Mt Zion College, Kathikho Karong, marked a significant milestone on Saturday with the launch and inauguration of its first-ever satellite classroom.

The hi-tech classroom was inaugurated by managing director of All India Private Schools Association (AIPSA) advocate Shiju Augustine, in the presence of Dr Sona Sekhar, who is managing director of Digitalstudents.in.

The event was supported by AIPSA, New Delhi.

A satellite classroom is an innovative educational model that enables students to engage in learning remotely through live or pre-recorded video sessions.

This system facilitates access to high-quality instruction-from subject matter experts, regardless of geographical constraints.

Students can participate in classes in real time or through recorded sessions, interact with instructors and peers via live chats, polls, and Q&A sessions, and access digital course materials, including videos, images, and documents.

The launch of this facility is expected to provide substantial benefits, particularly for students in remote and underserved areas.

The satellite classroom model offers flexibility, allowing students to manage their schedules efficiently while reducing the need for physical infrastructure and travel.

Additionally, students can learn at their own pace and review course materials as needed.

The inauguration event featured an interactive session demonstrating the functionality of the satellite classroom.

Several school principals from Senapati district and beyond attended the launch programme.
