UDWJA to host scribes covering Shirui Lily Fest

Ukhrul, May 15 2025: Ukhrul District Working Journalists' Association (UDWJA) is set to host journalists from across Manipur visiting the district to cover the upcoming State-Level Shirui Lily Festival cum 75 th year anniversary of Shirui Lily.

The festival is scheduled to take place from May 20 to 24 .

A press release issued by Mingyashin Shaiza, secretary, UDWJA informed that visiting journalists will be provided with complimentary food and accommodation throughout the festival days.

The hosting arrangement will accommodate up to 50 journalists per day on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

UDWJA has requested journalists intending to avail this service to notify and confirm their visit latest by 12 pm the day before and to come along with their valid press ID cards for the necessary registration process.

Additionally, visiting journalists are required to submit links/clippings of their published reports/articles on the festival during or after the celebration depending on when they are published.

This submission will help UDWJA document the festival's coverage in their archive as part of the initiative, said the press release.
