Imphal, October 14 2024: The 3rd Solo Art Exhibition of Thoithoiba Mayanglambam would commence from Thursday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound, here.

The four-day exhibition is being organised in coordination with Sakyeng Minshel and Yelhou Yangkok.

Briefing the media at Manipur Press Club, here, on Monday, Sakyeng Mingshel president Laimayum Shantikumar said that the solo exhibition would be organised under the title 'Saknaibasingee Liklu Pareng'.

The second day will have a poets' meet and the third day painting competition for children.

On the closing day, portraits of eminent personalities of the state will be presented to the respective persons, adding that 30 paintings will be put on display during the exhibition.

He recalled the first two editions of the exhibition held in Imphal and Cachar in October last year and January this year respectively.

The unique form of Thoithoiba's artworks is his painting of portraits on 'Yangkok', a roundshape winnowing tray, he noted, added that the third edition will mainly focus on social activists.
