IRCS volunteer Nilamani donates blood for 40th time

Imphal, September 14 2024: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Imphal East district and Blood Centre JNIMS jointly facilitated the 40th blood donation of IRCS Imphal East district branch volunteer Thiyam Nilamani Singh at JNIMS on Saturday.

In a release, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Imphal East district secretary Laishram Kuber lauded Nilamani for his continuous service to the people.

He stated that Nilamani has been donating blood 40 times within a short span of 11/12 years by giving 3-4 times in a year.

During the 40th blood donation of Nilamani, 28 people including teachers of Khurai Popular High School and members of the branch donated their blood, he added.

Kuber further informed that a person within the age of 18-65 years weighing more than 45 kg can give blood four times a year for male and three times a year for female.
