Financial literacy awareness prog held at Senapati

A one-day financial literacy awareness programme organised by CSP Cell of Manipur State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) Ltd in collaboration with NABARD, Imphal was held at Matanmai branch office of Proumai Area LAMPS Cooperative Society Limited, Senapati on Wednesday.
Sanjibehari from CSP Cell in his address said that any society will not progress unless people work hard and go in systematic.
He reminded the gathering that any bank loan should be repaid on time and advised the gathering not to waste the loan money and also not to depend too much on government's subsidy and loan alone but plan out how to utilise it properly.
Sanjibehari assured the gathering that bank will grant loan to any person who work sincerely.
According to MSCB Ltd president P Ranjit, the government is willing to help and uplift weaker section of society through cooperative bank, adding that MSCB would help farmers and other weaker sections unlike other nationalised banks.
He also informed the participants about various loans available under MSCB, terms and condition, subsidy, loan process and others.
Y Subhas Chandra, vice president MSCB, was impressed by the huge turnout from the Proumai Area LAMPS Cooperative Society members and said that any benefit given to the society by MSCB would be the asset of the community.
He reminded the gathering that cooperative is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically -controlled enterprise.
Chandra further said that individual or society cannot grow without patronage or help by the government for which a good relationship is needed between the two.
RK Rajkumar and Ng Thaiho, both board members of MSCB, assured that the bank will help any individual or society who works sincerely.
Ng Dovei, deputy manager MSCB Kangpokpi, highlighted the documents required for opening bank account and availing bank facilities.
Programme was chaired Ch Seikho Prou, secretary Proumai Area LAMPS Cooperative Society Limited and the Welcome address delivered by L Sipri Sha president Proumai Area LAMPS Co-operative Society Limited.
It was attended by around 60 members of Proumai Area LAMPS Co-operative Society Limited.
