Central forces hold walkathon, HGT campaign

87 Bn CRPF organised walkathon rally at Jiribam town and 29 Bn BSF "Har Ghar Tiranga" (HGT) campaign at Koirengei on Sunday.
In a release, SHQ BSF CI (Ops) Manipur informed that 29 Bn BSF organised the HGT campaign along with Prabhaat Pheree in villages around the BSF Koirengei campus with the participation of its top officials, troops, family members, school children and local villagers.
In the run up of the event, National Flags were distributed to school children and locals and encouraged and motivated to hoist the National Flag at their residential premises and offices.
On the other-hand, 87 Bn CRPF informed that the walkathon rally was organised to motivate the local public to hoist the National Flag at their respective homes and to instil a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the contribution of those who tirelessly worked for nation building.
The CRPF unit informed that the event was participated by around 250 personnel, family members, locals and 100 children along with teachers from various schools in Jiribam.
Team 12-P of 12 Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also organised Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) awareness campaign around Loktak lake on Saturday.
As per a release, 24 NDRF personnel under the supervision of its deputy commandant PN Singh held a 'Prabhat Pheri' (morning walk) at Sendra Water Park by holding National Flags with the aim of encouraging the citizens to hoist the National Flag at their houses and to instil a feeling of patriotism in their hearts.
All the citizens were also encouraged to pin a flag and upload a selfie with the National Flag on the official website of HGT campaign, it added.
