Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 held across state

District administrations and Nehru Yuva Kendras as well as and central forces organised Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 at their respective areas of jurisdiction on Saturday in connection with the celebration of 75th year of India's Independence.
In Senapati, the event was jointly organised by the district administration and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Senapati at Mini Secretariat Complex during which deputy commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari exhorted the participants to focus on one goal or target in the field of sports or education.
Delivering the welcome address, NYK Senapati DD/OSD W Paulina Monsang stated that maintaining fitness is the need of the hour and can be done through walking, running and exercising.
She said that the Fit Freedom Run 2.0 will continue in the district and till October 2, 2021.Mahesh Chaudhari also led the gathering in taking the pledge of Fit India Run followed by singing of National Anthem by all the participants.
Altogether 146 youth participants began their run from Mini Secretariat Complex to ADC office.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandel in collaboration with Chandel district administration and Wisecrabs-Chandel also organised Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 on Saturday morning to spread the message of fitness and good health.
A release by NYK district youth officer Ng Rameson Monsang said the event was flagged off by Chandel DC commissioner Rajkumar Mayanglambam from Indoor Stadium Japhou Bazar arid covered DC office complex.
Rajkumar stressed that youths should be more conscious of their health and fitness of their body and said youths should not be over influenced by the technological devices that are being used today.
"We should maintain the balance between technology impact on our life and proper fitness measures, so that we are not a burden to the community and society.
Our fitness will be a blessing to the wellbeing of our society," he said.
The release informed that around 86 enthusiastic members including youths and 18 AR team Chandel participated in the event.
Affiliated youth clubs under NYK Chandel also took fit India Freedom Run simultaneously at their respective villages.
All Manipur Football Association vice-president Th loyshing, District Hospital Chandel medical superintendent Dr Th Joyson'and Ng Rameson Monsang also participated in the Fit India Run, added the release.
As a part of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 to commemorate "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", 69.Battalion CRPF kick-started the movement at its Mantripukhri headquarters followed by similar runs organised in all the sub units on Friday.
Second in command of 69 Bn AK Shukla flagged off the Run which was attended by 200 participants including officers and personnel.
Tne event aims to spread awareness about physical fitness and healthy living.
