Clinic, ex-students, NGO extend aid

Imphal, November 12 2023:
Management team, staffers and family members of doctors of Little Clinic, Nagaram in Imphal, extended essential items including edibles and steel boxes (trunks) to relief camps set up at Khuman Lampak Youth Hostel and Wangkhei Girls' High School, on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, a doctor's better half informed that the items were donated through contributions made by staffers and family members.
She also assured that similar donations will be made in the future as well.
While explaining that the trunks were specifically selected as one of the items donated as they were made entirely in Manipur, she expressed hope that purchase of the locally-made boxes rather than imported one will help boost the state's economy and ease the problems besetting the displaced people in storing their belongings.
Meanwhile, Don Bosco High School, Langjing 2007 Batch Relief Committee distributed essential items at the relief camp set up at Terakhongsangbi on Sunday while an organisation called 'Chakhumgi Meiri' provided three gas burners, monetary aid of Rs 3000 and edibles to inmates of the relief camp set up at Indoor Stadium, Kakching.
Arapti Maning Leikai Youth Development Association (AM-LYDA) and Arapti Maning Leikai Khongnang Makhong Meira Paibi provided essential materials to village volunteers of Phayeng on Sunday.
In a release, AMLYDA general secretary Kh Subon Singh informed that the two organisations had also distributed Utility items to the violence affected people in different corners of the state.
The secretary also pledged that the organisations will continue reach out to the people in distress in the future as well.
