Imphal, September 11 2024:
The Home Department's decision to ban internet services is causing significant disruptions to fuel outlets operating under OMC, hindering their ability to perform essential daily activities.
According to a release, Manipur Petroleum Dealers' Fraternity has submitted a letter to the state-level coordinator in Manipur regarding the internet ban, which is causing severe disruptions for fuel outlets.
Essential activities such as managing autonomous systems, product ordering, decantation acknowledgment, banking transactions, tax payments and certificate submissions all require internet connectivity.
Without it, these operations cannot be carried out, forcing fuel outlets to consider shutting down.
The Fraternity also appealed to authorities concerned to include fuel retail outlets in the internet connection whitelist.
