Imphal, April 11 2015 : Council of Teachers' Association is not amused that the Manipur Public Service Commission has not announced the results of the preliminary, Mains and interview for the recommendation of the candidates of the Manipur Education Service.

In a statement issued by COTA on Saturday it was stated that even if there is a court injunction the government should have seriously tried to vacate it.

It is bad name for the government and the candidates will lose confidence in the government.

The Manipur Education Service came into being as a result of the demands of a number of teachers' groups.

A meeting of the teachers, students, guardians and organisations held a meeting on February 27 which took a resolution to urge the government to take up steps for the announcement of the examination results.

COTA is appealing the chief minister and the education minister to take effective steps for the immediate announcement of the results.
