Livestock census conducted in Noney

Noney, December 10 2024:
The 21st Livestock Census cum Vaccination Drive, organised by Noney Veterinary Hospital in collaboration with the Mobile Veterinary Unit (MVU) team under the leadership of veterinary officer Dr G Poulinlu, was conducted at Longmai village, Noney district, on Tuesday.
The initiative aims to update livestock population data to enable the government address critical issues such as disease control, breed improvement and enhancement of rural livelihoods.
As part of the programme, 31 pigs, 25 dogs and 10 cattle were vaccinated to prevent and control diseases such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD), Classical Swine Fever (CSF) and rabies.
The drive also included the distribution of feed supplements, deworming medication and vitamins to support animal health and welfare.
