IMA CGP faculty Manipur awarded at GPCON 2024

Imphal, December 09 2024:
Indian Medical Association College of General Practitioners (IMA CGP) Faculty, Manipur, was honoured with the Dean's Appreciation Award at GPCON 2024, the annual conference of IMA College of General Practitioners, held on December 7 and 8 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati.
The award recognised the successful completion of a 10-month course for the 2nd Fellowship in Family Medicine (FFM) conducted by the faculty.
IMA CGP Faculty, Manipur director Dr Shyamkumar Laishram led the team that received the award.
During the convocation ceremony, 24 graduates from Manipur who successfully completed the FFM course were awarded their fellowships.
Dr RK Lenin was also conferred an honorary fellowship in the College of General Practitioners (HFCGP) in recognition of his contributions.
Dr Lenin also delivered a scientific presentation on "Importance of Mental Health in General Practice".
Dr Shyamkumar presented another scientific session on "Adult Vaccines" underscoring the critical role of immunisation in adult healthcare.
The event had the participation of 30 delegates from the IMA CGP Faculty, Manipur, further solidifying the state's role in advancing general practice and family medicine in the region.
