Global Shapers inaugurates mini library for displaced children

Imphal, December 08 2024:
The Global Shapers Community, Imphal Hub on Sunday inaugurated its 2nd mini library at Sawombung in Imphal East for children residing in the relief camp.
In a release, Hub curator Zuicy Beauty Akoijam informed that the initiative aims to provide a nurturing environment that fosters love for reading and learning among the children.
The inaugural programme was attended by more than 100 of children, parents, and members of the Global Shapers Community Imphal Hub, she said.
Pointing out that the Hub believes in education as the key to unlocking the potential of future generations, and committed to supporting this cause, the curator explained that Global Shapers Community Imphal Hub is dedicated to creating positive changes in the community, and the initiative demonstrates the commitment to education arid empowerment.
The initiative is part of Hub's "Multiplying Smiles" project, which has been recognised as the winner of the Innovative Grant Challenge 2024 by the World Economic Forum and the Social Shifter Global Education Challenge 2024, the curator informed.
