Thoubal DC assures tap water to all schools

Thoubal, October 08 2024: The 15th foundation day of Private School Development Council (PSDC), Thoubal District was celebrated under the theme "Education Will Be the Only Way to Answer" at Peace and Freedom Academy, Thoubal Haokha Sorarel on Tuesday.

The celebration attended by representatives of 64 private schools in Thoubal district had deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subash Singh, PSDC president B Surchandra Sharma and Thoubal Zone-II zonal education officer Arambam Anilkumar as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

As a part of the programme, the Best Teacher and Best Student awards were distributed along with presentation of mementos to school founders and showcasing of students' talents.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Subash acknowledged significant contributions of both private and government schools in the development of the education sector in Thoubal district.

Stating that the district administration working to enhance cordial relation with educational institutions, he called upon school authorities to extend support and cooperation to fhe administration for safety of the students as and when disturbance is caused to law and order.

The DC also announced that all government schools have started providing tap water under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with efforts also underway to expand the same facility to private schools as well.
