KEMKAL warns of stir; Thangjing Pana condemns

Keke Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL) advisor cum spokesperson Konjengbam Mohindro has cautioned that the unrest situation might go out of control if central and state governments do not take effective measures against the Kuki narco-terrorists.
Addressing the media at Moirang Konung on Sunday in the presence of KEMKAL president Ph Nipamacha, vice president Ph Singhajit, general secretary in-charge L Boy and others, Mohindro said Kuki narco-terrorists are causing fear and violence in the state in pursuance of their demands.
Sustaining their diabolical campaign, woman got killed and scored suffered injuries in the drone bombing at Koutruk and other places on September 1, rocket attacks damaging a house in Tronglaobi and residence of former chief minister Mairembam Koireng which killed an elderly RK Rabei and injured others, including children, he recounted.
Lamenting that despite such a dire situation, state and central governments have not done anything substantial to address the issue but forcing the public to live in constant fear, Mohindro urged the government to protect citizens in unbiased manner.
Emphasising that the rocket attack in Moirang was targeted towards INA War Memorial Complex, he emphasised that if the government does not take concrete action to prevent damage to national property then it will endanger national security in future.
He further advised the government to do the needful to failing which people might launch agitation that could embarrass the government.
Meanwhile, Ibudhou Thangjing Pana held an emergency meeting on Saturday to condemn the killing of RK Rabei and injuries inflicted on five others in the rocket attack on September 6.In a release, Ibudhou Thangjing Pana informed that during the meeting, a one minute's silence was observed to condole RK Rabei's death.
The meeting also resolved to back action taken by the JAC formed regarding the killing.
It also mentioned that it will not remain silent on the rocket attack at the residence of an ex-serviceman Keisam Loken Singh (63) at Tronglaobi on September 6 and questioned whether law is only applicable in the valley and not the hills and why central forces are giving free hand to the Kukis, while Meetei are stopped from doing anything.
The release further demanded that central and state governments announce Kuki militants as terrorist and flush them out of the state.
