CAU, VAAS pact will benefit NE: VC

Imphal, August 08 2024: After inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Science (VAAS), Hanoi vice president Dao in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Socialist Republic of Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, at Hyderabad House, New Delhi on August 1, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal vice chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra returned to Imphal on Thursday.

Dr Anupam was extended a warm welcome at Imphal Airport by CAU director of Instruction director of Research, director of Extension Education, COA & COFT deans, faculties, scientists and CAU officers.

Speaking with regard to the MoU) Dr Anupam Mishra informed that Vietnam is similar to Manipur with respect to food habits, language, customs and traditions.

He continued that the MoU will provide a platform to both CAU and VAAS to cooperate in various fields of agriculture and allied sciences.

The MoU will also greatly benefit both Manipur and other north eastern states.
