Govt doctors urged to stop private practice

Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) has urged the Government doctors to immediately stop private practice on Wednesday.
According to the Medical Council of India (MCI), Government doctors are not allowed to work at private clinics or hospitals, said IPAK.
It said many Government doctors have been practicing at various private hospitals and clinics in the state violating the guidelines of MCI.
Explaining the difficulties faced by people especially the patients, IPAK appealed to all the government doctors to immediately stop private practice or to leave their government jobs.
If doctors are found continuing with private practice, their particulars will be made public with the help of media and the same report will be sent to MCI , IPAK warned.
