ILP issue discussed in AAP Guwahati meeting

Imphal, August 07 2015 : A Coordination Meeting of AAP Northeastern States was held in Guwahati on August 4 under the leadership and guidance of Habung Payeng, Observer Northeast and National Executive Member AAP towards a possible formation of a Coordination Committee of AAP for the Northeastern states.

The meeting was attended by Dr Sahil Saha and retired Major Brajalal from Tripura, Tako Sheetal and Biri Joy from Arunachal Pradesh, Hareshwar Goshwami as special guest from Manipur, Jinti Gogoi, Namrata Sharma, Sameer Sharma, Azmal Hussain and others from Assam.

In the meeting, Hareshwar Goshwami, former convenor Manipur Campaign Committee and Member AAP briefed the members present about the present situation of Manipur specially the people's movement relating to Inner Line Permit System and the need for its immediate implementation in Manipur.

According to a press release issued by State Coordinator, Assam Jinti Gogoi, the meeting condoled the brutal killing of Sapam Robinhood by the Manipur Police and the dead of twenty persons who were swept away by a land slide in Joumoul village in Chandel District of Manipur by observing two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls.

The meeting also condemned the cruel act of Manipur Police while dealing with the democratic movement of the people of Manipur.
