Imphal, August 04 2021: Assistance to people in containment zones and Covid frontline organisations continued with many philanthropic individuals and organisations coming forward in these trying times of Covid-19 pandemic.

Covid-19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha on Wednesday distributed edibles to 96 households in Nongren under Lamlai assembly constituency who have been notified as containment zones The programme was also attended by Lamlai AC Covid Awareness and Enforcement Committee chairperson A Jamini; Nongren Chingnungkok GP pradhan A Bilasini; ward member Gambhir Singh and BJP Lamlai Mandal president E Amitkumar among others.

Meanwhile, social worker Thongam Shanti Singh along with Moirang Kendra Progressive Front provided edibles and monetary aid of Rs 5000 to Kege Moirang Kendra Kanba Apunba Lup for distribution amongst families in Moirang AC that have been hard hit by Covid-19 pandemic.

The aid was handed over to the members of the Lup at its office at Moirang Thana Leikai on Wednesday by Th Shanti in the presence of Lup's advisor Y Surjitkumar, president Moirangthem Shantikumar and Moirang Kendra Progressive Front general secretary Uttamkumar.
