Medical camp held; Anganwadi centres inaugurated

CRPF's 87th battalion organised a medical camp under its civic action programme-2024 at Jairolpokpi village, here, on Monday to provide healthcare service to the villagers who had been without medical facilities due to the prevailing law and order situation in the state.
The camp was attended by around 92 villagers belonging to different communities.
Canteen facilities were also provided to the villagers during the event.
The camp was conducted in the presence of 87th Bn commandant Tapan Kumar, CMO, second-in-command, deputy commandant and assistant commandant of the CRPF unit.
On the other-hand, two Anganwadi centres along with a public toilet constructed with funding by the Department of RD&PR (MGNREGS) was inaugurated by Jiribam deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar and handed over to the public on Monday.
The two Anganwadi centres are at Champanagar Meitei Makha Leikai under Dibong Gram Panchayat and Leingangpokpi under Hilghat Gram Panchayat, while the public toilet is located at Lalpanin Part II under Sonapur Gram Panchayat.
Administrative Committee chairmen RK Nobinsana (Dibong GP), Faij Ahmed (Sonapur GP), Th Somorendra Singh (Hilghat GP) and Jiribam CD Block BDO T Janeshor were present on the occasion.
