Taragi Cheisu condemns assault on Paomei civilians

Imphal, November 02 2024: Taragi Cheisu has strongly condemned the assault and robbery of two individuals from Poumei community by unidentified armed persons two days ago.

In a press meet held at its office on Saturday afternoon, Taragi Cheisu chairman condemned the incident, but stated that it would be wrong to portray it as communal problem.

The assault was committed by unscrupulous persons.

He then informed that the body would be consulting and working together with various bodies to prevent any further attacks on Meetei populace by armed Kukis.

He also urged all bodies concerned not to be involved in private land disputes, and instead allow the law courts to decide on the matter.
