Schools asked to vaccinate staff, students

Education (S) director and Samagra Shiksha, Manipur state project director L Nandakumar has advised teaching, non-teaching staff and students of all schools in the state to get vaccinated against Covid-19 without fail.
In a-notincation addressed to heads of all schools (government, private aided and private schools), the director elaborated that consequent directive of the department and ministry of Health & Family Welfare and minutes of the meeting chaired by state's chief secretary on January 22 at old secretariat conference hall, it has been resolved to make cent per cent coverage of Covid-19 vaccination of teaching and1 non-teaching staffers along with students in the age group of 15-18 years.
While urging to cover vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching staff in the vaccination drive being taken up by the government, he sought cooperation in the vaccination programme being taken up by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEOs) in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) concerned for the students of age group 15 -18 years.
Any unvaccinated teaching and non-teaching staffers should not enter the classroom without RTPCR test done periodically at an interval of 10 days, the director instructed.
