JCILPS Jiri declares Public Curfew

Jiribam, July 30 2015: Supporting the ongoing ILPS movement in the state, Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), Jiribam Branch on Thursday organised and formed human chains with locals blocking the national highway in Jiribam.

Later a public meeting participated by M Hemanta Chairman, Line Permit System (JCILPS), Jiribam Branch Y Sanjib convener Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), Jiribam Branch, B Sarat Sharma Advisor JIMPAL and leaders of different Civil Society Organisation was held.

The public meeting unanimously declared a 48 hour Public Curfew in Jiribam, starting 7 pm of Thursday.

While urging all people walks of life to support the curfew, Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), Jiribam Branch said that the decision was taken to strengthen the ongoing mass movement.
