UGs held, war like stores seized

Imphal, July 28 2014 :
Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of a UG cadre, troops of 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) established a vehicle check post at Murei Junction, Sabungkhok Khunjao and apprehended one PREPAK (VC) UG cadre.
According to PRO IGAR (S), a suspicious looking Red colour Activa Bearing No MN 01Z � 1476 was stopped for checking, and it resulted in the apprehension of an individual later identified as No 4101 (Batch No 27) Wangkheirakpam Nandi alias Gogo, s/o Late Chandramani, aged 29 yrs, resident of village - Sekta Loushangkhong, PS - Lamlai, Dist- Imphal East, Gp- PREPAK.
The apprehendee was handed over to the Lamlai Police Station.
In another incident, troops of the 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) established a vehicle check post at Chorzang Hamlet.
The suspicious vehicles, TATA Registration Number No NL 07A - 4331 and NL 01K - 0551 travelling from Dimapur to Ukhrul via Jessami, was stopped for checking, resulting in the apprehension of four individual and recovery of certain war like stores to include 3 Unidentified explosive materials (each 300 gms approx) and 03 spools of Cordtex (each of approx 200 m length) on 26 Jul 14.The apprehendees were identified as Dolay Chetry S/o Late Gobind Chetry, aged -39 yrs, resident of Island Colony comma Naga Cemetery, Dimapur, PS Dimapur (Nagaland), Bikash Thapa S/o Late Ratna Bahadur Thapa , aged - 29 yrs resident of Gorial Dubi, Bokajan, Dist -Karbianglong, PS Bokajan (Assam), Deepak Sunar S/o Bir Bahadur BK, aged 19 yrs resident of Dhobi Nala comma PS Dimapur comma Dimapur (Nagaland) and Arjun Thapa S/o Ram Bahadur Thapa, aged 15 yrs, resident of Teacher Basti, Ram Bahadur Basti, PS Diphu, Dist Karbianglong (Assam).
The individuals alongwith the recovered item have been handed over to the Ukhrul Police Station Manipur.
In yet another incident, based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of a UG cadre, troops of 20 Assam Rifles and 6 DOGRA of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched a joint operation in the general area of Pallel Bazar and apprehended one OGW working for the KCP, on 26 Jul 2014.The apprehendee was identified as Ramesh Singh alias James, aged 38 yrs, S/o late Joy Kumar Singh, resident of village Pallel Bazar.
Extortion note of KCP (MTF) for Rs.10 lack and a diary containing names and amount collected from the locals was recovered from the individual's possession.
The apprehendee alongwith the recovered item has been handed over to the Kakching Police Station.
