Bishnupur, December 27 2024: Along with conduct of an awareness programme, International day of persons with disabilities was organised by Anji Disabled Welfare Association, Nachou under the Nirmaya Health Insurance Scheme for Disability & Integrated Child Protection Scheme at Nachou Awang Mayai community hall on Friday.

The function was attended by former chief secretary O Nabakishore Singh and social worker L Menjor Singh as chief guest and president respectively while Manipur State Commission for Women member T Chungshin Koireng, SSA IED, Bishnupur coordinator M Sandhyarani Devi, District Child Protection Unit, Imphal West child protection officer N Sundari Chanu and social worker L Sanapishak were the guests of honour.

Composite Regional Centre, Imphal director Naoshekpam Khoibi Singh and District Child protection Unit, Bishnupur staff Khoisnam Manocha Singh were also present as resource persons of the event participated by a large number of differently abled persons of Bishnupur.

A wheel chair was also distributed to S Pakpi Devi of Kabowakching.
