MSF has condemned the incident which happened in Cambridge English School, Lamphel and the teacher involved in it for hitting a class VI male student, leaving marks and bruises as a result.
They urged the authorities concerned to take legal disciplinary action against the teacher under the Right to Education Act, 2009, Section 17 (1) and Right to Education Act, 2009, Section 17 (2) .
They also urged the institution concerned to do the same.
The student union urged all those concerned to not take up any actions which will sent a wrong message to the community and demanded to let the educational atmosphere of the school to be a calm and undisturbed one.
MSF encouraged the teachers to contact the guardians of the students and let them know the conditions of their respective wards instead of hitting and using foul and unwanted language upon the students.
They further urged the guardians of the students to look after their wards so that any unwanted incident does not take place in the future.
