Aid distribution continues for Covid affected people

Imphal, June 25 2021: Various organisations and individuals are continuing to distribute relies items to Covid-19 affected people in different parts of the state.

On Friday, Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch donated masks and sanitizers for ASHA workers of Churachandpur, which were handed over to chief medical officer, Churachandpur.

All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) in collaboration with Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs' Organisation (SLUCO), which is united body of 65 clubs operating between Singjamei and Lilong, with support from its member clubs distributed edibles to 120 needy families in eight locations on Friday.

In a release, AMUCO assistant general secretary MM Thambou conveyed that the food items were provided at Langthabal Kunja Awang Leikai, Langthabal Kunja Makha Leikai, Lilong Chajing Mamang Leikai, Chajing Mairenkhong, Lilong Keithel, Thongju Pechu Lampak and Kakwa Lamdaibung.

COVID 19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha also distributed edibles, masks and sanitizers to households under containment zones in Laikot Phaizol, Lamlai and Chalou, while BJP Manipur Pradesh Teachers Cell executive member Ashem Babu distributed edibles at Toubul to 84 households and monetary aid of Rs 5000 each to four families whose members have died due to Covid-19.Similarly, social activist MI Khan handed out cash and edibles to 15 families affected by Covid-19 at Kei-rao Wangkhem under Keirao AC.

Former candidate from Wabagai AC social worker Mayengbam Ranjit of Wabagai Tera Urak through Absolute Benefection Club (ABC) Wabagai Terapishak and Kangleicha Chaokhat Thourang Lup (KACHATHOL) Hiyanglam Wabagai provided 5 kg of rice each to 270 households of Wabagai Terapishak along with monetary aid to the said clubs.

Development Committee Kakching Khunou under the aegis of Sugnu MLA Kangu-jam Ranjit also distributed 10 kg of rice each to 187 poor households at Kakching Khunou and Umathel under Sugnu AC .
