Tamenglong, June 25 2013: 44-year old RR.

Namjokpou Kamei s/o (Late) Reilakpou Kamei of Namkaolong (Keikao) village has been coronated as the new chief of the village during a colourful ceremony held at his residence on Monday.

Located 28 kms from the district headquarters along Tamenglong-Khongsang Road, Namkaolong (Keikao) is under Tamenglong police station.

Namjokpou Kamei is the second son of Reilakpou Kamei, who had expired on 9th February, 2013 due to old age.

The coronation ceremony was attended by members of Namkaolong Village Authority, other well wishers and people from surrounding villages.

During the ceremony, Kakangam Pamei, Chairman of Namkaolong Village Authority, pronounced the Khunbuship to RR.

Namjokpou Kamei while Gaibi Gonmei blessed the new chief.

K.D Pamei graced the occasion as speaker.
