8K jabbed at Sangaipat UPHC, no AEFI so far: MO

Sangaipat UPHC, one of the most active Covid vaccination centres of the state, has administered Covid vaccines to around 8000 individuals so far and no adverse effects have been reported till date.
Informing this to the media during a vaccination programme held at Wangkhei Puja Lampak on Thursday, MO in-charge of the UPHC Dr Dayarani said that there is no need to worry about Covid-19 vaccine as it is safe.
The health centre has been administering Covid vaccine to people of the area, especially Yaiskul AC since launch of the vaccination campaign.
Around 8000 individuals have been administered Covid-19 vaccine and there is no complaint till date, she said.
Urging all not to believe in rumours, she appealed to all eligible individuals to get their second dose when their turn come.
The vaccination programme at Wangkhei Puja Lampak was organised under the supervision of Wangkhei MLA & CAF&PD minister Thokchom Satyabrata and IMC Ward No 19 member Thongam Govind with support from volunteers of Young Voluntary Organisation, Wangkhei.
Govind said that the programme was part of the series of mass testing and vaccination programmes being conducted under the supervision of the minister.
He thanked district administration of Imphal East and CMO Imphal East for their support in making the programme successful.
Around 120 individuals were vaccinated during the programme.
On the other hand, District Health Society, Kakching and Irengband Covid Task Force under the aegis of Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar conducted a mass Covid-19 vaccination programme at Scholar English School Irengband on Thursday.
A team led by district immunisation officer Dr Kesho Singh Moirangthem and Primary Health Centre Pallel MO in-charge Dr Kh Gopeshwar vaccinated 310 beneficiaries in the age group 18-44 years and over 45 years.
