Kakching, July 22 2024: Imphal Moreh Transport Association Manipur, in its meeting held on Sunday, decided to impose indefinite bandh along the Imphal-Moreh road from July 25 against exorbitant collection of illegal taxes from drivers at various points along the highway.

The meeting also adopted several other resolutions including action against those collecting illegal taxes along the highway and immediate halt to unloading of goods from vehicles plying along the highway at several points along the highway.

The meeting resolved that illegal taxes being collected along the highway are unbearable to drivers and authority concerned should take action against the illegal tax collectors.

It was also resolved that illegal taxes being collected from vehicles carrying firewood must be stopped immediately.
