Imphal, January 21 2025:
The proscribed Coordination Committee (CorCom), a conglomerate of armed organisations operating in Manipur and WESEA region, has boycotted the Republic Day celebration in Manipur and imposed total shutdown on January 26 .
Labelling Republic Day celebration in Manipur (Kangleipak) as 'Colonialist Replicate Day', a CorCom statement said the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) should not take part in any programme of the Government of India as its policies not only aim to suppress the people but also totally disregard historical and cultural identity of Manipur.
According to the CorCom statement issued by its publicity committee, the present regime in India misused power and allowed those in the Opposition, media and social activists to face legal harassment even for mere criticism or opposing government policies.
Global people nowadays see India as a nation facing both economic recession and democratic recession, while democracy-watch organisations across the globe referr India's democracy as deteriorating towards 'autocratic' or 'hybrid regime', the CorCom said.
Even though holding elections signify a country of following democracy, former leader of Soviet Union Joseph Stalin's remark 'Those who vote decide nothing, those who count the vote decide everything' turns out to be completely true for India.
At one point of time, India claims to be the largest democratic country in the world but it has come down to 'the largest hybrid-regime' now much due to misuse of democratic institutions to grab and retain power.
According to the CorCom, the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CI-JWS) in Mizoram opened by Government of India for learning war tactics is being used to train its forces for suppression tactics and training as the school focuses on creating conflict among communities and people so as destabilise support-base for revolutionary organisations.
Strategies for 'subversive policy' are fully taught at the school so that a land could be easily occupied and controlled by rendering administration of the land redundant and distorting unity of the people.
It is also from this school in Mizoram that artificial 'greater homeland' issue sprang up in WESEA region, the CorCom said adding that WESEA region is being used for practical and case-study at CIJWS.
Except the SoO-Kuki groups, all the revolutionary groups of WESEA region fight against Government of India for regaining freedom of their own motherlands on historical basis and justified objective.
History of motherland of an armed organisation cannot be written artificially but must be based on historical 'fact and truth'.
Accordingly, armed organisations of WESEA are able to wage 'just war' against Government of India with the support of the people while Gol counters the war with 'proxy insurgency' and 'false indoctrination' crafted by its think-tank and security advisor, the CorCom alleged.
The CorCom statement further said that Indian forces, particularly the Assam Rifles, employ the colonial British-era tactics and 'divide and decimate' as its operational objective.
A clear example to this has been open and secret working together of Indian security forces and "Kukinised" terrorists, the CorCom added.
While asserting that Bangladesh was carved out of Pakistan and Sikkim became part of India with Gol's intelligence agency RAW's strategies, the CorCom said both the internal and external policies of India are mainly chalk-out by intelligence agencies.
In the same manner, the Government of India has been using its intelligence agencies and forces to interfere in the internal affairs of Manipur (Kangleipak) in the present situation and converted it into a 'militarised-state'.
According to the CorCom, Government of India never understands the meaning of insurgency or finds the root causes of insurgency in Manipur (Kangleipak).
Rather, the Gol thinks that people's insurgency in the region can be suppressed with 'proxy-insurgency' and by forming numerous ethnic-based gangs.
Thus, it is natural for the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) to continue freedom struggle, the CorCom said and urged people not to join Republic Day celebration on January 26.The conglomerate also imposed total shutdown on the day effective from midnight of January 25 till 6 pm of January 26 and appealed to the people to support the boycott by staying at home.
