Health card fair to be organised: RK Imo

Imphal, September 20 2021: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo on Monday distributed CMHT and PMJAY cards to around 100 beneficiaries during a simple function organised by Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) held at the MLA's residence.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA RK Imo informed that the distribution was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and urged all those who have applied for the card and received the yellow receipt to contact his office for the cards.

Informing that SCPC will be organising Health Card Fairs in various places of the constituency for one week from September 21 onwards, the MLA said that anyone who has not received the health cards can process for the same during the fair.

He then commented on the vaccination process in the constituency, adding that the programmes will continue, while mentioning conduct of mobile vaccination camp on September 27.Regarding the development works in the constituency, Rk Imo cited installation of street lamps in almost every locality and blacktopping of majority of the roads.

The construction of the retaining wall of Nambul River has been completed including blacktopping of roads alongside the river bank.

The new overhead water reservoir constructed at Tera will help resolve the water shortage issue of the constituency.

Additionally, Sagolband Bijoy Govinda Thangapat will be repaired and the people will soon witness the beauty of the area, he added.

The MLA then recounted that when he entered politics, he witnessed many BPL and APL families not receiving their entitled share of rice.

As such, he made the matter of providing rice to the deserving beneficiaries as part of his elec -tion agenda 10 years ago.

Presently, all denizens of the AC who are above S years of age have been receiving the rice and no issues related to irregular distribution of rice has been reported in the news till date, he remarked.
