AR conducts medical camp in chandel

Assam Rifles (AR) conducted free medical camp and facilitated the villagers on returning their village.
In a statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (South), a 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted medical camp at Parlon, Libung and Tuthang villages essentially to facilitate the return of villagers.
The inhabitants had moved to Chandel, and were apprehensive about the ongoing military operations.
All fears of the villagers were allayed as SF assured that operations being conducted would always be people friendly.
The restraint and professional conduct displayed by the Assam Rifles was appreciated by all and greatly reposed the faith of citizens as an Army duty bound to protect their rights.
The medical officers and Commanding Officers of 6 DOGRA and 20 Assam Rifles welcomed back the villagers and assured them of complete safety.
The medical team conducted medical treatment of approximately 150 male and female patients and distributed the medicines.
The local administration as well as the village authorities appreciated the efforts of the Security Forces in particular in quickly bringing normalcy in the area post the worst insurgent action in Chandel District.
