6 sent back for flouting ILP rules

Imphal, December 18 2024:
Six non-Manipuris arrested for non-possession of valid Inner Line Permit (ILP) cards by City police at Khwairamband Bazar on Wednesday, have been escorted till Mao Gate.
According to a police report, City police team conducted search operation on Wednesday in Khwairamband bazar area, during which the six were found in possession of invalid ILP cards.
They have been identified as Jaikisun Prasad (48) S/o Chedi Prasad of Ganesh Dumar in Bihar and presently staying in Nagamapal, Govinda Kumar (22) S/o Amina Ram of Ageyang in Bihar and also currently residing in Nagamapal, Saptam Paul (24) S/o Subhash Paul of Karimganj in Assam, Lavkush Kumar (33) S/o Suvash Singh of Belahri in Bihar and presently staying in Nagamapal, Pongal Ram (41) S/o Nandalal Ram of Chandpura in Bihar and currently staying in Khoyathong and Surendra Kumar (20) S/o Satyanarayan Das of Belganj in Bihar.
The six individuals were produced before the court of Imphal West Sub-Division al Magistrate (SDM), which slapped fine of Rs 6000 each.
They were then taken to Mao gate and advised to contact the ILP Cell at Mao gate for further processing.
Earlier on Tuesday, the City police team arrested three non-Manipuris without valid ILP cards at Paona Bazar.
They were also escorted till Mao gate.
