CAFP canteens open for public conveniences

Imphal, September 17 2024:
As part of an initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), CISF unit ASG Imphal opened a mini canteen (Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar - KPKB) at Imphal Airport on Tuesday.
According to a post on X by home minister Amit Shah, KPKB will be opened for common people from September 17 at the 21 existing bhandars in the state and additional 16 new bhandars - eight each in the valley and hills.
The formal launch event at Imphal Airport was attended by CISF DIG Dr Hari Om Gandhi and Imphal West SP Ksh Shivakanta along with other senior officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Hari Om informed that the canteen will provide commodities at lower rate to the public.
Earlier, the facility was for security forces only but now the public could access the facilities too, he said.
Similar canteens were also opened for the benefit of public at E/107 Coy Adhoc post at Kakching DC office campus; 131st BSF, Sugnu, 20th CRPF Chotobekra in Jiribam, 10th BSF Wangjing Tekcham in Thoubal district, 19th CRPF at Lilong in Thoubal district, 8th CRPF at Bishnupur DC Office complex and 32nd CRPF Moirang, and 29th BSF at Lamlai among others.
Such canteens were also opened at Leikul in Chandel, Moreh Trade Centre in Tengnoupal, mini secretariat complex Senapati, district headquarter & K Sinam village in Kangpokpi, Kangvai and Churachandpur district headquarters, BSF and CRPF camps in Ukhrul district.
