AYUSH medicines, edibles distributed

Various organisations continued their effort of providing aid to people affected by Covid-19 .
On Tuesday, AMUCO and its member bodies distributed AYUSH medicines provided by Department of AYUSH for protection against Covid-19 in various places, A team comprising IEDUCO vice presidnt Khwairakpam Orendro Meitei, organisation secretary Nimai Moirangcha, executive member Keisham Paka Singh distributed AYUSH medicines Aconite 30, Arsenicum album 30 and AYUSH 64 for 800 police personnel posted in areas enclosed by North Eastern United Clubs' Organisation (NEUCO) through Yaingangpokpi police station OC Ng Romen, Lamlai police station OC O Kiran and Sawombung police outpost OC Tejkumar Singh.
Youth's Foundation for Fitness and Services (YOFFS), Manipur under the aegis of AMUCO also distributed AYUSH medicines for 2100 people at various areas on Tuesday.
On Monday, United Ching-Tam Clubs Association (UC-CAN) distributed AYUSH medicines provided by Department of AYUSH to 800 people through Sinamkom Youth Club, P Khonomphai Youth Club, Lairok Kom Youth Club, Bilei Youth Club, Utonglok Youth Club, Eshingthembi Kongpal Youth club and Sanjenlok Youth Club.
The medicines were provided in collaboration with Imphal East District United Clubs Organization (IEDUCO) and AMUCO.
Political activist Wahengbam Dineshchandra of Patsoi AC and Covid-19 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha also distributed edible items to households affected by Covid-19 at Patsoi and Lamlai assembly constituencies respectively on Monday.
Meanwhile, Lions Club of Imphal Greater on Tuesday distributed essential commodities to 25 visually impaired students/inmates of Government Ideal Blind School, Takyel, Imphal under the global theme of Lions Clubs International "Feed the Hunger Project".
In a release, Lion Club marketing communication officer Ashok Lairen informed that 25 bags of essential commodities each containing 20 kg of rice.
1 litre of edible oil, 1 kg of dal, 1 kg of potato, 1 kg of onion, 1 kg of sugar, 30 pieces of egg, soap, toothpaste, tea leaves, detergent powder and snacks were distributed to 25 visually impaired students/inmates.
The distribution programme led by Lions Club of Imphal Greater president Ashok Konjengbam was organised in association with Sakura- an online marketing company of Manipur which contributed snacks and breakfast items.
The commodities were also provided at the doorsteps of the students who are confined in their homes due to Covid pandemic with the help of SAVI (Sports Association of Visually Impaired), it added.
