LBA meeting held at Sainik School, Imphal

The meeting of Sainik School, Imphal Local Board of Administration (LBA) was held at the school on Tuesday.
In a release, PRO Defence informed that the meeting was chaired by Red Shield Division, Leimakhong general officer commanding and Sainik School, Imphal LBA chairman major general SS Kartikeya.
Red Shield Division Family Welfare Organisation chairperson Priya Kartikeya also visited the school.
Sainik School officiating principal lieutenant colonel SK Singh presented a comprehensive brief regarding the recent achievements and infrastructure development of the institution at the meeting.
The PRO stated that the chairman addressed the cadets at the Vikram Batra Auditorium, where he motivated over 500 cadets, including 39 girl cadets, by sharing an insight about the glorious history and role of the Indian Army in the national security along with sharing his vast experience of serving along the length and breadth of the country.
The chairman also felicitated teachers and administrative staff of the school for their dedicated efforts towards nurturing the young minds and future generation.
Career educationist Priya Kartikeya also paid a visit to the girls' hostel and interacted with the girl cadets and teachers.
During the interaction she emphasised upon the overall development and importance of a career for the women.
She also visited the Sainik Foundation School located within the Sainik School premises, wherein she planted a tree along with the children to promote the importance of environment and keeping the surroundings serene, added the PRO.
