CCpur, March 15 2018: With the BJP's inaugural fortnight set into motion, at least two sizeable projects undertaken in the interior areas of Churachandpur were inaugurated in the past two days.

A composite water supply scheme for Songtal and Mualnuam villages located under Mualnuam Sub Division was inaugurated yesterday by MTDC Chairman Vungzagin Valte in the presence of former ADC Chairman Langkhanpau Guite, Additional DC Churachandpur Lalramsang Infimate, SDO Mualnuam N Thuamkhansuan and several other officials.

The scheme which was constructed at the cost of over Rs 4 crore at Taumual hill lock started way back in 2011.Speaking on the occasion, Valte said that the ongoing road construction undertaken by NHIDCL along NH-102 will soon be expanded into a triple lane with the Centre already earmarking Rs 1290 crore for the same.

Meanwhile, Singngat MLA GS Haupu, today, inaugurated the tribal market shed constructed at Singngat Sub Divisional headquarters in the presence of Director TA and Hills Joseph Pauline, ADC members Hausuanthang and Suanchinpau.

The DC along with the SP also attended the event.

The signature Mothers' market project of the new State Government which the Chief Minister announced for all the districts, stands completed as of today and will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister when he visits the State tomorrow.
