Khundrakpammandal not in dispute: Ranjan

Imphal, January 15 2022: The six intending BJP candidates in Khundrakpam AC, namely T Mina, Th Muhindro, I Mangiton, Dr Ksh Kala, Elangbam Sovid and Keithellakpam Ronel jointly formed BJP Mandal for the constituency and inaugurated an office of the mandal at Khundrakpam Awang Leikai with hoisting of the party flag on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, K Hemanta, the working president of the Mandal, stated that the new Mandal was formed after the old one was allegedly found to be working in the interest of one single intending candidate.

The six candidates of the new Mandal will extend complete support to anyone amongst them who gets the party ticket, he conveyed.

On the other hand, addressing a press meet held at the office of BJP Khundrakpam Mandal, Yumnam Khunou Awang Leikai on Saturday, Mandal VP Ningombam Ranjan informed that the Mandal was selected in the presence of the state returning officer, as per the rules.

It has various Morcha working under it such as BJYM, Mahila, Kisan, OBC, ST and minority, in addition to having Kamal Sakhi and Lotus Club Booths in 41 booths of the constituency.

So far, 230 corner meetings have been organised in 74 villages, apart from various mass public meetings.

As such, people need not have any confusion over the two Mandals, considering the new Mandal has not been recognised officially, he added.
