Illegal occupants evicted

Ukhrul, April 13 2015 : Illegal buildings and the occupants inside the premises of PWD office complex at Phungreitang were evicted by a group of Tangkhul Naga Contractors Long (TNCL) members with JCB excavator today, Mungchan Zimik reports.

Grocery shops, pan dukan, hotels and others were completely dismantled.

However, the grocery items, utensils, and other family properties were spared on humantarian .

The infuriated TNCL members pulled down the whole building structure to the ground alleging that a private party had illegally occupied the land allotted to the Tangkhul Naga Contractors Association (TNCL) by PWD.

TNCL earlier had warned the occupants repeatedly to vacate the land.

The eviction was conducted since the occupants failed to heed to the warning.
