PREPAK observes Martyrs' Day

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and its military wing Red Army (RA) on Tuesday observed 'Athouba Singgi Ningsing Numit' or Martyrs' Day at different places of 'Kangleipak' with active participation and coordination of people from both the hills and valley.
According to a PREPAK statement, Athouba Singgi Ningsing Numit observance functions were successfully held at party's central headquarters (CHQ), general headquarters (GHQ), 707 mobile battalion, Training Centre (TC) and mobile units, wherein party's flag was half-masted and revolutionary gun salutes offered in honour of the martyrs.
Offering of floral tributes at memorial sites of martyrs and prayer in candlelight in every residential gate in the evening were main highlights of the Martyrs Day observance throughout Kangleipak, the statement said.
The observance function at CHQ was attended by party's Interim Council chairman as chief guest and charge d' affairs of publicity and propaganda as president, while the observance function at GHQ was attended by Red Army's CAS as chief guest and charge d' affairs of medical & family welfare as president and Red Army General Staff Officer (GSO)-2 as special guest.
While extending its sincere gratitude to all the people who lit candles at their residential gates and memorial sites of martyrs to mark the Athouba Singgi Ningsing Numit observance, the PREPAK statement, issued by publicity officer, maintained that it will continue to fight against imperialist India till achieving Red Army's goal of attaining a sovereign, developed and egalitarian society in Kangleipak.
