MLA M Rameshwar inspects cleaning of Irum river

Kakching, January 11 2025: Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar on Saturday inspected the cleaning of Kakching Irum river by Working Committee on Rejuvenation of Irum Turel, Kakching.

It may be mentioned that various CSOs of Kakching and Irengband including Joint Non Government Voluntary Organisation (JNG-VO), Kakching; All Kakching Clubs Co-Ordinating Committee; Kakching Apunba Nupi Lup; Kakching Keithel Ima Lup; Kakching.

Bazar Business Welfare Association; All Irengband Football Association; All Kha Kanglei Students' Union, Kakching; Volunteers' Co-Ordinating Committee, Kakching and Irum Ningthou Thougal Lup, Kakching, jointly formed Working Committee on Rejuvenation of Irum Turel, which has beencleaning the Kakching Irum river since December 27, with an aim to revive the river.

Speaking to media person on the sidelines of the visit, MLA Rameshwar praised the Working Committee on Rejuvenation of Irum Turel for taking up cleaning of Kakching Irum river which has been in neglected state for some time now.

Expressing his gratitude to the Committee, he also assured to extend whatever help he can from his side.

Rameshwar also observed that the Committee, Kakch ing deputy commissioner along with him should urge chief minister N Biren to take up an employment generation project for Kakching Irum river, so that it can lead to the development of the district.

He also wished that may peace return in the state with the coming of New Year along with instatement of new Governor, along with greeting the people on 'Imoinu Numit' .
