NESO, MZP interact media over atrocities faced by NE people

Leaders of North East Student' Organisation (NESO) and Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) on last Saturday interacted with media over the various atrocities and racial discrimination faced by Northeasterners in mainland India.
The interaction was held at Aizawl Press Club under the leadership of NESO President Samuel Jyrwa during which various problems faced by North East people in Central India and different points of Memorandum submitted by NESO to the Union government on issues related to security of North East people in the national capital have been widely deliberated.
Speaking at the interaction, NESO leaders told media about detail of memorandum being submitted to the central government.
The student leaders said that certain issues such as (1) setting up of Special Police cell based on Delhi Model to investigate cases related to atrocities and racial discrimination face by North East people in central India which will again take up by a police officer from North East, (2) Giving of capital punishment at the earliest in case of serious crime, (3) Inclusion of lesson/chapter on history of North East region in all state and central board academic textbooks, (4) recruitment of 5000 North East youths in Delhi Police and (5) framing of racial discrimination law for protection of Northeasterners were some of the main points indicated in memorandum.
