CCCRM submits memo to MLAs

Imphal, February 10 2025:
Co-ordinating Committee for Crisis Resolution, Manipur (CCCRM) on Sunday submitted a memorandum to all the opposition MLAs and some ruling members to discuss issues related to resettlement of people displaced from Moreh, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur, recognition of village volunteers and free movement of valley people on the national highways in the upcoming session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
In a release, CCCRM convener L Sumatibala informed that the memorandum contained demand for passing resolution/bill/act in the Assembly to protect homestead lands of the Meetei community displaced from Moreh, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur and provision of sufficient financial assistance for their reset dement and rehabilitation at the earliest.
Further stressing the need for framing policy to grant recognition to the village volunteers, protect them and provide appropriate remuneration, CCCRM also urged the members to adopt resolution for free movement of people from valley region on national highways connecting the state, without any fear or obstruction.
